Understanding Grants and Scholarships
Scholarships, like grants, are types of financial aid that do not have to be repaid. Scholarships can be funded at the federal, state, and institutional level. Scholarships that are provided by an outside source other than PHSC, such as a business or community organization, are called external or private scholarships.
Child Care Grant
PHSC students may be eligible for a child care grant.
West Campus Students
Child care grants are available for 813-323-8030.located on the New Port Richey campus to students with young children under the age of five and who meet eligibility requirements. Space is limited. To determine if there is space available for your child at the preschool on West Campus, call
Great Hope Preschool also provides discounted rates for students at their Wesley Chapel location, 30126 State Road 54.
East, North, Porter, and Spring Hill Campus and Instructional Performing Arts Center Students
Students who utilize a licensed childcare provider and attend the East, North, Porter, and Spring Hill campuses and Instructional Performing Arts Center may also be eligible for the child care grant.
Complete the Child Care Grant Application and submit to the PHSC at your campus. To learn more about eligibility and the program contact the Financial Aid Office.

Florida Supervisor of Elections Scholarship - The Florida Supervisors of Elections (FSE) is proud to once again offer scholarship opportunities to students from around the state. Three scholarships for $1,200 each will be awarded in 2021. The deadline to apply for a scholarship is March 26, 2021. The winning students will be announced and recognized at the FSE Summer Conference in May.
