Understanding Grants and Scholarships
Scholarships, like grants, are types of financial aid that do not have to be repaid. Scholarships can be funded at the federal, state, and institutional level. Scholarships that are provided by an outside source other than PHSC, such as a business or community organization, are called external or private scholarships.
Online search services such as CollegeNet.com, FastWeb (Financial Aid Search Through the Web) and Scholarship Informer, offer scholarship-college-student matching services.
