Financial Aid Eligibility
All types of financial aid have eligibility requirements. Eligibility for most federal student aid programs is based on demonstrated financial need rather than on academic achievement. Financial aid from the state of Florida usually requires the recipient be a resident of the state. Some scholarships specify the recipient must enroll in a particular field of study or have a high grade point average. Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid Application (FAFSA) online or through the mobile app available in both the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android) is the first step in the financial aid process.
Title IV Federal Student Aid programs administered by PHSC for the 2023-2024 academic year include:
- William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program
- Federal Pell Grant
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
- Federal Work-Study Program
