What is a financial aid appeal?

The financial aid appeal process is available to students who have become ineligible for financial aid due to failing to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards. Students must document that they have experienced extenuating circumstances such as personal illness, accident, death of an immediate family member, or other serious situation, that caused the student to fail to meet SAP requirements.
